About

SeCCRet spelled S-E-C-C-R-E-T and pronounced “Secret”.
The C-C-R stands for Cross Country Rider.

Sarah “SeCCRet” Moreau always had a love for motorcycles as a child. After graduating with her Master’s Degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills, she wanted to take a break from living inside four wall structures… the office, library and the house.  SeCCRet wanted something to allow her to escape and break free temporarily from the realities of school and subsequently work.  In September 2005, she decided to learn how to ride a motorcycle by taking a riding course with the Motorcycle Safety Foundation at Cerritos Community College.  SeCCRet secured her endorsement and has never looked back!

The same day she received her license, SeCCRet left Cerritos College and headed straight to Hahm Motorsports in Anaheim, where she purchased her very first motorcycle:  a brand new 2006 Yamaha Silverado 650.  Since she was afraid to ride her motorcycle on the freeway, she took the surface streets all the way home.  SeCCRet later joined The Original Route 66 Motorcycle Club in Los Angeles, under the Presidential leadership of Chi-Town.

By May 13, 2006, a 4,854 mile road trip along the famous Route 66 highway led SeCCRet to realize she needed a motorcycle with more power and built for distance.  She upgraded to a Yamaha Stratoliner 1900, on which she logged long days in the saddle, and 800 plus miles in one day from El Paso, Texas to Los Angeles, California.

Presently, SeCCRet sits aboard a 2018 Indian Chieftain Dark Horse as a sponsored motorcycle rider.

She dedicates every motorcycle trip to her ROAD Model, Bessie Stringfield nicknamed “The Motorcycle Queen of Miami”.  Bessie Stringfield was the first African-American woman to ride across the United States solo, eight times.  SeCCRet’s dream was to break Bessie Stringfield’s record on an Indian Motorcycle, as Bessie’s first bike was an Indian Scout.

In 2016, SeCCRet broke Bessie Stringfield’s record with her 9th roundtrip ride, for a total of 18 times cross country, during the Sisters’ Centennial Motorcycle Ride.  She served as a Road Captain, working to help lead 100 women from Brooklyn, New York to San Francisco, California.  The Sisters Centennial Motorcycle Ride was created to honor and recreate the Van Buren Sisters ride in 1916.  SeCCRet was chosen by their sponsor, Indian Motorcycle to be a featured sponsored rider and to break Bessie’s record on an Indian Roadmaster.

SeCCRet’s Riding Resume continues to grow, and she has no plans to slow down.  She has completed the USA Four Corners Ride, this took SeCCRet to the Four Corners of the lower 48 which are San Ysidro in California, Blaine in Washington, Madawaska in Maine and Key West in Florida.  She has been awarded the Beautiful Bikers Ground Pounder Award, presented by Black Girls Ride Magazine, and is the first female recipient of the illustrious “Smiley Patch”, given to riders who have achieved 48 states.

SeCCRet is also an International Motorcycle Rider with trips through Canada, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Dubai, Europe and Mexico.  She has completed 28 cross country motorcycle rides across the United States. She has ridden in 49 of the United States, with plans to ride to Alaska in the near future.

All of this riding has provided SeCCRet with the experience and know-how to share with others.  She shares her passion for riding by offering seminars on long distance touring to help ready newer riders to take on their own adventures.  To book SeCCRet as a host, rider, or speaker, please contact sarah.moreau66@gmail.com.
